The name “Canada” intrigues many of our guests. Some of them think that the name is owed to the beautiful landscapes of Val di Fiemme, reminiscent of the unspoiled nature of that distant country. Others believe it is only a marketing gag. However none of them are right.
The first owners have built the hotel in 1957. That year it was the song called “Casetta in Canada” to win the Sanremo festival and so the hotel got the name of this song. When our family bought it in 1979, my father decided to shorten the name in order to make it more simple and so he changed it into Hotel Canada.
The hotel is located in Bellamonte, a small town on the road from Predazzo to the Passo Rolle. Here, on the small plateau, pastures and meadows alternate with deep green forests. In the background, the peaks of the Lagorai mountain range and the Pale di San Martino rise into deep blue sky. You will find here the peace, only a holiday in the mountains can offer you and discover, that this is the ideal starting point for trips and excursions.
From the hotel, you can quickly reach the lifts of the Ski Area Alpe Lusia and the charming Nature park of Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino . You will even find many trails starting from Bellamonte and can explore the surrounding woods or climb to the highest peaks of the area.
